Lydia's House Home Page

Lydia’s House is a Catholic Worker community which began hosting families in April 2014. The mission of Lydia’s House is to provide housing and support for women and their children in times of crisis, including refugees and families experiencing homelessness. The house is grounded in the Catholic Worker commitments to personalism, solidarity, faith and community, practiced alongside gospel-prescribed works of mercy.

Volunteers needed:
We are currently seeking summer interns who can live and work at Lydia's House. Room, board, and access to public transportation will be provided. If you've ever wanted to see what a Catholic Worker looks like in its earliest days and are self-motivated, eager to incorporate prayer and worship into your weekly rhythms, largely unruffled by chaos, and passionate about providing hospitality to women and children in need we want to hear from you! Come and have your life transformed in a few short months.
