As an outcome of our first study group (1/6/2022), we assembled a development team to begin a two-year ministry building process that created Dorothy Day Tampa, Inc. 4/4/2022. Imagine the possibilities……. Comments from our previous study groups:

To a person, attendees start our study curious, apprehensive. They end the study transfixed by Dorothy’s journey –‘ faithful to the Gospel, the church, immersed in the social issues of the day, transforming individuals and society.’
After retiring as co-founders of Love INC of Metro Tampa 12/31/2020, www.loveinctamoa.org Ann and I prayerfully discerned His will – what we are we summoned to do next? We were summoned to introduce Dorothy Day to Tampa Florida. How? We will start simply, forming a house of hospitality, a homeless drop-in center, replicating the best practices of 35-year-old Peace House Community www.peacehousecommunity.org and Gracepoint Wellness’s ‘The Shop’.
