Can You Help St. Louis CW Start a House of Hospitality?

We are in the process of finding a physical space to purchase in the St. Louis area to headquarter our works of mercy and revolution of the heart. If you find yourself in a place of abundance at this time, please consider helping us start this new House of Hospitality.

Peter Maurin taught, “The Catholic Worker believes in Houses of Hospitality for the immediate relief of those who are in need” and we’re excited to be doing just that in St. Louis, MO!

This budding project is being tended primarily by three experienced Catholic Workers :

  • Chrissy Kirchhoefer is formerly of the Kabat House and Columbia, Missouri CWs and works as outreach consultant to the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee.
  • Lindsey Myers is an alumni of the Phoenix CW and Strangers and Guests CW Farm who works at Assisi House where she helps support formerly unhoused folks. She currently lives in the Sophia House community.
  • Theo Kayser has lived at the Los Angeles, Cherith Brook, and Karen House CW communities. He also co-hosts the Coffee with Catholic Workers podcast and has traveled extensively throughout the movement.
