Catholic Worker National Gathering (Chicago, Oct. 4-6)

Let’s come together from all corners to celebrate as we clarify and renew our commitment to the Catholic Worker ethos.

General Information

DATES: Friday October 4 – Sunday October 6, 2024 (see the Schedule)

LOCATION: St. Gertrude Church Social Center. 1401 W. Granville Ave. Chicago IL 6060.

ARRIVAL & PARKING: Please plan to arrive anytime after 2pm, Friday October 4th. Two parking lots are available one block north of the Social Center at the intersection of N. Glenwood Ave. and W. Thome Ave. Street parking is also available in the immediate neighborhood.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Simple accommodations will be available on the St. Gertrude gym floor for out-of-town guests; please bring a sleeping bag and/or air mattress, pillow, and anything else you may need to make yourself comfortable.

CHILDREN: Children are welcomed as long as accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

ACCESSIBILITY: We regret that the space available to us is not handicap accessible.

ALCOHOL: St. Gertrude will allow us to have self-served beer and wine. Do not bring hard liquor.

PETS: Pets are not allowed at the St. Gertrude Social Center.

WHAT TO BRING: Sleeping bag and/or air mattress, pillow, towel, musical instruments, your stories and memories.

WHAT NOT TO BRING: Pets, hard liquor.

COST: Beyond your transportation costs, the gathering will be free for all who attend.
