Youngstown Catholic Worker / Dorothy Day House of Hospitality

Description

In the spirit of Dorothy Day, the Youngstown Catholic Worker is a community, founded on personal relationships, committed to learning and living the gospel of love through hospitality and peaceful resistance to injustice.

What We Do
We are the Youngstown Catholic Worker, operating the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality to serve the Mahoning Valley and Northeast Ohio.

Our core ministry is direct hospitality, rooted in personal relationships where we offer a safe place, friendship, and respect to everyone who walks through our doors. We primarily operate a dining room where we serve about 75 guests each evening.

Beyond these acts of mercy, we are actively engaged in promoting peace and social justice through activism and nonviolent resistance, striving to live the Gospel of love.
