Live-in Volunteer House Manager
Our work of hospitality grounds us in the daily needs of the most vulnerable. We are strongly rooted in faith and we act out of our commitment to the principles and tenets of the Catholic Worker Movement for which we look to the Aims and Means for guidance.
We seek 3 full-time live-in volunteers to propel our mission forward.
Position Description:
- Manage food and clothing donations.
- Maintain pantry and refrigerator standards like discarding outdated items.
- Assist guests in keeping house clean and safe.
- Keep detailed log of expenditures.
- Assist in dinner planning and meal preparation as needed.
- Organize and facilitate community building events twice per month.
- Coordinate transportation when necessary.
- Assure facility is locked and safe.
- Provide first aid when necessary.
- Complete simple home repairs when necessary and possible.
- Retain inventory of house items and replace as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills:
- A willing heart to make a 1 year commitment to engage in all aspects of life here.
- The ability to live in a multicultural environment without judgment or bias.
- An interest in urban agriculture and social justice action.
- A desire to learn and be part of an intentional community.
