Mustard Seed Community Farm (Ames, Iowa) is actively seeking interns and community members to live and farm with us for the 2024 season

Happy New Year from Mustard Seed Community Farm & Catholic Worker!
My name is Amie, and I have been part of Mustard Seed farm for three years. I served as an intern in 2021 and have continued to be part of the farm community ever since.
We are actively seeking interns and community members to live and farm with us for the 2024 season. Internships and short-term work stays can take place between May and October for 8 weeks or more, and room and board is provided. Please contact Alice by March 15, 2024 at mustardseedbee@gmail.com if interested. More info below.
A bit about us: Mustard Seed Community Farm is an ever-evolving diverse collective of farmers, volunteers, artists, plants & animals. For more than a decade, we’ve been creating community in our rural location near Ames, Iowa. Our 11-acre farm is home to two of our founders, Alice McGary and Nate Kemperman. We also house long and short term guests and workers during the growing season (May to October), and we have local volunteers working on the farm almost every day during the growing months. At Mustard Seed Farm, we believe that everyone deserves really good food. Without complete nutrition, it is hard to function at our full human potential. We believe that a great diet allows people to be more healthy, happy, and able to participate with great enthusiasm, generosity, and creativity in our community and world. Our primary focus is growing food to share, but we also have a strong education and community-building program, focusing on social justice, ecological living, human-scale economics, and farming.
Please visit our website for more information or contact Alice McGary at mustardseedbee@gmail.com or 978-471-8414.
Thank you for letting me share this news with you!
With gratitude,
Amie
