As of mid-May 2026 we will have an opening for a long-term resident at our 1827 Morena St. House, 37208. We are looking for someone who is substantially younger than my 88 years, who has a verifiable commitment to the core CW/Gandhian values as described in our community profile, and who is orderly, responsible, and potentially interested as a successor to my role in the Nashville Greenlands community. In the meantime, we will consider a short-term resident with a six-month renewable commitment. This opening will remain active until acceptance of a long-term resident. Karl Meyer 312-914-5025

We are a non-sectarian community, not based in prayer or religious doctrine, affiliated with the Catholic Worker movement through many years of personal association, and a deeply shared ethical and social vision. Our common purpose is to explore and demonstrate an ecologically sustainable way of life within a city, based on agricultural use of yards and open land, and a simple common life, to minimize our consumption of world resources.
